Don't lose it

When we were young, we are poor. Money is everything, we plan carefully, we spend carefully, those little pocket money that there given to us like we were being showered with blessings from goddess, so little and so precious. Schooling time aside, we had so much time to travel, to watch drama online, to watch all the TV show from morning to night, to sleep till as late as we like, to eat macdonalds with friends after lessons, to slack and waste our life away.

When we grew up, the harsh reality of societal pressure starts acting up. We get into the workforce, begin a life of never ending rat race, rush and competition. Rush to succeed, rush to get promotion, rush to get a pay rise, rush to pay out bills, rush to manage our time. We have lost all of it, all the time and freedom. We are richer, but the price we paid with, freedom, carefree times. Money is lesser of our concern now (I wouldn't say not but lesser). We spend more to save our time, because time is money. And in the process, we neglect our body, we lose our health, our mind, our soul. We are soulless rats running a rat wheel. Where is the end?? We don't know, we don't care, because we are blind rats that only knows how to run till we drop. It's the harshness of the lives of people our generation. What can we do? Indulge in the rare moments that we have with our gadgets that probably lighten our mood a little?

Next stage of our lives, before we know, we are 50, losing our health, losing our productivity and becoming the bane of society. Nobody is going to save us. Will we regret that we didn't work hard enough? Perhaps, or maybe also regret working too hard and didn't play enough, enjoy enough when we had our health.

Take care, to all including myself.
Don't lost it.
Bear in mind.

  1. We're all in a rat race. Not working makes life boring too. And working makes us feel like we have no time to do all the things we want :( But what can we do?
